As a ParticleBites writer, you will<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>actively engage with current research by summarizing recent particle physics results<\/li>\n<li>connect with a global network of science communicators<\/li>\n<li>inspire the next generation of physicists<\/li>\n<li>collaborate with like-minded researchers to sharpen your writing and editing skills<\/li>\n<li>participate a series of exclusive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/comscicon.com\">ComSciCon workshops<\/a>\u00a0for early career scientists<\/li>\n<li>network with guest physicists and journalists through regular meet ups<\/li>\n<li>access to ParticleBites swag (stickers, mugs)<\/li>\n<li>gain professional recognition for your science writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How are authors selected?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Authors will be selected based on their academic and science communication backgrounds, and a sample ParticleBite blog post.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Post format and frequency<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Authors are expected to write one post every month. A ParticleBites post summarizes a recent or classic research result from the arXiv to an undergraduate student audience. A typical post is between 500-1000 words, contains a figure from the paper, and a list of references where a student can learn more.<\/p>\n<p>Different styles of posts are also welcome.
